RICK
Server Guru
Rick was the miracle child. His parents were in their fifties when they thought Mrs Hadley was dying. Instead she gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. Because of his aging parents in an odd placement of time in their lives he was raised older than he was. His parents died when he was 18 in a plane crash. At a loss for where to go in the world he joined the military. He had a knack for computers in the military and moved quickly into an intelligence agency. He made it ten years in the military when he was injured making a midnight run to get ice cream. Not able to recover fast enough he was let go. He attended a local school to get a certificate in order to join civilian life in the IT field. That is where he meets George!

GEORGE
Desktop Support
George is the only boy in a family of five older sisters. He could always brighten their day and bring a smile to their face. He married his highschool sweetheart and together they adopted and have ten amazing children. As a nearly perfect dad he helps them do homework, teaches the kids the art of keeping house and sees to it his wife gets plenty of R&R! However as somewhat of a kid himself he will do crazy things like buy a crossbow instead of a microwave and spends hours in the comic book store. George attended a technical institute where he met Rick. Everyday on their way to school the guys would drive by Red Industries and wish to work there. On the day of graduation they both put in applications and were hired on the spot.
HEATHER
Team Lead
Heather is a street smart fire cracker. She was raised in the streets of some of the roughest neighborhoods. Her mother could never afford rent and they would often sneak into abandoned houses and hide out a few days in each location. A teacher took interest in her and helped her get a scholarship to the CIA (“Culinary Institute of America”) in NY. She was the first in her school to fail at cullinary arts however she has a gift for making the worst food look amazing! Always seeing the best in people she failed to realize she was in the wrong crowd and got into a bit of trouble. She tried to outrun her problems by moving to Chicago where she attained her masters degree in Computer Science and later became an IT Consultant. Unfortunately at the height of all her hard work and success once again her “trouble” caught up with her, so she left Chicago and made her way to Red Industries hoping to leave the past behind.
PAT
Boss Lady
Pat started with Red Industries as a cleaning lady. Because she worked the evening hours and was mostly alone she would snoop and read everything she could find. When the job opened up to head the IT department she swooped in and nailed the position. No one noticed that she was the only application submitted. She quickly learned enough to stay one step ahead of the guys to give Mr Redmond the appearance that she knows what she is doing. Impressed the he didn’t need to micromanage her he let her have free range of IT decisions however she just went by whatever Rick said. Rick deals with Pat’s issues because he would rather work on servers than manage a team.
MR REDMOND
CEO
Mr Redmond was given Red Industries for his birthday by his grandfather. He loves to live the executive playboy life and has no interest in the company. Thankfully the board of the company realizes this and gives him an allowance as they keep things moving forward.
MRS MACINTYRE
Faithful Employee
She was a secretary from day one and should have been the first Mrs Redmond as she was the love of the grandfather’s life. But as luck would have it she fell for an Irish garbage collector and had his baby. Her family chucked out the unwed mother so she did the right thing and married Mr MacIntyre. He later became a useless drunk and left her to raise eight children on her own. Mr Redmond the first saw to it they were clothed and never starved but married a lady from high society so the love was never allowed to bloom between Mrs MacIntyre and Mr Redmond the first.
JAKE
Maintenance Man
Jake never finished school. He loved to work with his hands and just showed up one day and started to follow the maintenance man around. He was never questioned and kind of grew up in the building. The original Mr Redmond was very superstitious and had the 13th floor set aside for mechanical use only, which is now Jake’s home. Because he is so good at taking care of the building no one realizes he never leaves. He is extremely rich but doesn’t even know how much money he really has.
ABBI
Pat's Niece (Intern)
Abbi is Pat’s niece who joins the team as an intern. She doesn’t follow in her aunt’s shoes. She takes the time to go to college. However after a security scare at Red Industries she joins the team and spends several weeks waiting for the background check to clear. Two days before her term ends at Red Industries the background check clears and she’s finally able to do some real IT work.
ALEX
Cyber Security
The only experience Alex has in IT is as a security guard at the front desk. But with the proper lack of communication he is now in charge of Cyber Security at Red Industries. Is only hope is to avoid being discovered as he navigates the waters of impostor syndrome.
CARL AKA "CRAZY CARL"
Cyber Security Guru
The true mastermind keeping Red Industries safe from being hacked by the chaotic outside world of cyber security or the lack thereof. Carl is underappreciated by most but no one misunderstands his true capabilities as much as Pat his boss.
